Help UP's Helmets And Shields Take Over Joeseppi's

University Place's police and fire departments hope the combination fits, which is why they will be holding a community fund-raiser Wednesday to raise money for parks and recreation program.

and will host a "takeover" of Joeseppi's Italian Ristorante from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The restaurant is located in Tacoma's West End, 2207 North Pearl St.
Proceeds from the event will go toward UP Community Supported Parks and Recreation, the nonprofit that helps fund parks and recreation programs. As a bonus, members of the department actually staff the restaurant.

Joeseppi's is owned by former UP businessman Joe Stortini. Offerings range from pasta and pizzas to salads and deserts. Reservations are encouraged, so call today at 761-5555.
