Get Creative With Kids Workshops At The Home Depot

These workshops - offered the first Saturday of every month - allows kids to have fun and take home some pretty cool stuff. University Place residents can visit the store at 7050 Tacoma Mall Boulevard.

The first Saturday of every month, The Home Depot offers a hands-on craft experience for the kids that might make the adults a little jealous.

are offered at the local branch of the home supply store - there's one located outside of University Place at 7050 Tacoma Mall Boulevard. They encourage creativity while providing the materials, space and instruction to build something.

Between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., this Saturday, take advantage of some family bonding and create a Veteran's Day picture frame. It's the perfect token of appreciation for someone in your child's life who has served our country - grandparent, uncle, aunt, parent, whatever.

Next month's craft pick? A snowman napkin holder to join the holiday feast and adorn the family table.

With each workshop,  all kids get to keep their creations and receive a free Kids Workshop apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement. That's in addition to learning about tool safety and feeling a sense of accomplishment and pride for a job well done. This may even give you some craft ideas of your own.
