House Fire Causes $90,000 Worth of Damage Tuesday Night

No one was home at the structure fire in the 3100 block of Tahoma Place West, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

A late-night house fire in University Place caused $90,000 worth of damage.

No one was home at the house in the 3100 block of Tahoma Place West. West Pierce Fire & Rescue crews received the call shortly before midnight Tuesday and arrived to find a structure fire.

Firefighters quickly entered the home to put it out, but dangerous conditions forced them out of the home's interior, and they had to fight it from outside. It was almost two hours later before the fire was declared under control.
