Jogger Assaulted At Chambers Bay: Report

A University Place man was assaulted by two men while jogging at Chambers Bay, according to a report.

UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA - A University Place man was assaulted while jogging with his wife at Chambers Bay last week, according to a report. Two men reportedly tried to scare the joggers by shouting "Boo gotcha!" The victim told them not to do something like that, which is when he got hit.

The man was jogging on Wednesday when the incident happened, according to KING 5. The man told the station that he suffered a broken nose and other injuries.

"All of the bones in the nose were broken. The septum was broken off of the palette. There's quite a bit of swelling," the man, named Clancy, told KING 5. Neither he nor his wife gave their full name.

The men who allegedly assaulted Clancy were not caught, but the Pierce County Sheriff's Office told KING 5 that deputies are looking for them.

Clancy's wife, Jessica, was not harmed during the incident.
