Man Steals 87-Year-Old's Wallet At Pet Store, Police Seek His ID
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office is looking for this man, who they say stole an elderly woman's wallet.
TACOMA, WA - Who would steal a wallet from an 87-year-old woman? The Pierce County Sheriff's Office says it's the man pictured in those surveillance images.
The theft happened back on Sept. 5 at the PetSmart store along South 23rd Street in Tacoma. The woman was shopping at the store and didn't realize her wallet had been taken until she went to the cashier to pay.
The woman called her bank and learned that card had been used at other stores in the shopping plaza. There are Target, Wal-Mart, and Hobby Lobby stores located in the same area.

The thief allegedly used the woman's credit card to buy gift cards at nearby Target and Office Depot stores. That's a common method among credit card thieves - quickly using credit to load gift cards, which can't be shut off like a stolen credit card.
At the time of theft, the suspect was wearing a Titleist baseball hat, black sunglasses, maroon shorts, and a white polo shirt.
