Pierce County Corrections Officer Arrested Over Sex With Inmate: Report
Pierce County corrections officer Jason Pardes was fired Monday, according to reports.

TACOMA, WA - A Pierce County corrections officers with less than a year on the job was arrested Tuesday on a second-degree rape charge for having sex with an inmate, according to the Tacoma News-Tribune. Jason Pardes, 29, was fired on Monday. He had been a corrections deputy for 11 months.
Pardes has not been formerly charged, according to the News-Tribune. Pierce County Sheriff Ed Troyer told the newspaper that it's illegal for deputies to have sex with inmates.
"It’s against the law because she was in a custodial position," Troyer told the paper.
