UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA - You might like the food at your favorite local restaurant, but would you also like what's going on behind the kitchen doors?

The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department performs restaurant inspections around the county up to four times per year. The inspections provide insight into how clean and orderly local kitchens are. The health department will close a restaurant if it racks up violations worth more than 100 points.
