The incident took place near the 2100 block of Mountain View Ave. West. The parent contacted the police and the school district. The man was identified as a registered sex offender. The police have made contact with this individual," the safety alert read. "School administrators and our School Resource Officer will increase our supervision and security in the area where this incident occurred to make sure our students are safe on their way to and from school today."
