Suspect Rams Patrol Car, Tries To Run Over Officer
Pierce County deputies are searching for a suspect in a stolen vehicle case who rammed a police cruiser in Fircrest.

FIRCREST, WA - A suspect in a stolen vehicle case rammed a Fircrest police car and tried to run over an officer Friday night, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office. The officer was not injured.
An initial report stated that the suspect also fired at police, but subsequent reports said that the suspect did not fire any shots. An officer shot one round at the suspect's truck.
Police later found the truck abandoned a few blocks away and the suspect fled on foot. The area of Ramsdell Street and San Juan Avenue was closed off for investigation but has since reopened.

The truck had switched license plates and a punched ignition, leading police to believe it was stolen. The vehicle also contained what police believe is stolen property.
