VIDEO: The First Battle In The Orchard Draws Hundreds
In a close competition, The Whoopee Cats took first place. All three bands performed for 12 minutes apiece at Curran Apple Orchard.
They played. They rocked.
The three finalists in University Place's version of battle of the bands offered fiery riffs that left the 300 or so people at bobbing their heads and asking for more.
In the end, The Whoopee Cats took first place in the inaugural , and their spoils include a recording session, a photo shoot and the chance to create the official theme song for University Place Patch.
