TIERRAWATCH: Tierra Crockrell Sprints Against College Runners (and Holds Her Own)

The University Place track-and-field phenom finished 51st out of 59 of the West Coast's best college runners.

SEATTLE-Last year, Patch brought you the story of , a kid athlete from University Place who's years ahead of competition her age.

Well, she's back at it again, and the 10-year-old is doing it against competition almost twice her age.

On Jan. 14, Tierra competited in the University of Washington 2012 Indoor Preview.

In prelims of the 60-meter-dash, she posted a time of 8.52, which was the 51st best time in the 59-women field.

"She also jumped but didnt' jump her farthest at all but she also didn't lose that," according to Tricia, her mother. "And she threw the shot put and was inches away from the world record."

With the outdoor track-and-field season approaching, Tierra continues to amaze.
