VIDEO: Here's How You Post an Announcement on Patch

It's free. It's easy. And your announcement will be posted on the site instantly and be included in the daily newsletter.

Whether your child gets an award at school or you're recruiting volunteers for an upcoming event, we can help spread the word.

University Place Patch welcomes all of your press releases that are relevant to people living in University Place. We want to let you in on a little secret: You don't have to ask us to post them.

You can do it yourself, right now.

Patch sites are designed in a way that is easy for users to post their own announcement. It's all good. We want you to tell everyone about the marching band competition, the latest service project for the Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts, the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new business in town or the soccer kick competition at the school fields.

Including a photo really makes a difference if you want to attract attention.

The announcement will go out with the newletter delivered early every morning. And if you uploaded a great photo, we may feature it on the front page.

Follow this video tutorial and learn how to post an announcement, step by step.

If you want to just skip the video and get started right now, go to the News Tab, choose Announcements, and look for that green button labeled "Annouce it to Everyone." Start filling in the form. Your announcement will be posted as soon as you hit "submit."
