University Place citizens gathered together in the fight against crime Tuesday during National Night Out.
There were 42 neighborhoods, and over 1000 citizens who participated in the event this year.

University Place Police, together with West Pierce Fire & Rescue, spearheaded a public safety caravan of City Council members, public safety, planning and fire commissioners and other city staff to visit neighborhoods across University Place.
University Place Police, West Pierce Fire Rescue, and the city would like to give special thanks to all the citizens who organized this event. It is an honor to come to your neighborhood to meet with you personally to discuss public safety, as well as to celebrate community. National Night Out demonstrates that by simply knowing one another a little better we can deploy the greatest prevention tool of all. Thank you for all your hard work in making this year’s National Night Out our biggest one ever!
