UPDATE: WSDOT To Close 38th Street Exit on Interstate 5 on Weeknights Through March 16

The work involves installing temporary highway lighting for the Highway 16 Eastbound Nalley Valley project.

(Editor's note: I just received this from Pierce County)

TACOMA – Work installing temporary highway lighting for the State Route 16 Eastbound Nalley Valley project will prompt weeknight closures of the 38th Street off-ramp the next two weeks.

The off-ramp from southbound Interstate 5 to 38th Street closes this week from 11 p.m. Thursday, March 1, to 5:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, and again during the same overnight hours next week, Monday-Friday, March 5-9.

The Washington State Department of Transportation will detour motorists around the closure via the 56th Street interchange. The overnight closures will not affect traffic from southbound I-5 to westbound SR 16.
