You Might Get A Call From Mike Carrell Thursday

The Lakewood Republican is holding an interactive, telephone town hall meeting.

Residents with a landline telephone in the 28th District will get a call from to participate in a telephone-only town hall meeting Thursday.

The live, interactive meeting with the Lakewood Republican begins 7 p.m.

β€œDuring the hour-long event, participants may learn about the 2011 legislative session and share their thoughts and questions with the senator,” according to a press release from Carrell’s office today.

Only those with landlines in the 28th District – which covers areas such as University Place, Lakewood, Steilacoom, Fircrest and parts of Tacoma - will receive a phone call. Residents who want to participate via cell phone or from somewhere other than their home must call toll-free 1-877-229-8493. The access code is 15388. The number will be available about 10 minutes before the town hall begins.

Carrell said this is a great way for him to connect with constituents and is a convenient for them to stay involved in state government. He added that he’s looking forward to getting their input on this particularly challenging session and hopes as many people as possible will participate.
