Bothell Man Killed in Wednesday’s Motorcycle Accident

The King County Medical Examiner released the name of the motorcyclist killed Wednesday in a collision with a van on Woodinville-Redmond Road (SR 202).

The man was 26-year-old Aaron Lyle Odegard of Bothell. Odgard was killed Wednesday, June 15, when a van turned in front of him, he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The accident happened at about 3 p.m. in the 17000 block of Woodinville-Redmond Road in Woodinville.

According to King County Sheriff’s Office, a 2005 Chevrolet Express van was southbound on the Woodinville-Redmond Road when it made a left turn into a private driveway on the east side of the road.  The motorcycle, a 2006 Suzuki 750 was northbound and had just passed another vehicle.  The motorcycle hit the right rear corner of the van.

The driver of the van was a 56 year-old Woodinville man was not injured, authorities have not released his name.
