Are You Curious About Christmas? How About Visiting a Local Church This Sunday?

That’s what the clerks at a pawn shop told me a few years ago as I walked into their shop, “we have nothing here for you” they said with a snarl. Has that ever happened to you? Just wanted to go check something out and was told that you weren’t welcomed?

Are you curious about Christmas? How about visiting a local church this Sunday?  Have you been to a church and got the sort of reception that I received at the pawn shop? Don’t let that stop you. It didn’t stop me, a few weeks later after that experience I visited the and was met with a friendly staff.

If you want to learn more about Christmas, the best place would be a church that encourages their visitors to read the Bible. A church where the members carry their own Bibles and the pastor reads from it during the sermon. If you have a Bible lying around your house, I encourage you to pick it up and read Luke in the New Testament – Chapter 2 – Verses 1 – 20.  You will probably recognize it if you have watched “A Charlie Brown Christmas” :)
