How safe is the block wall located at Rt. 9 & 240th St. SE.? I don't know but I'd like to hear professional assurance that it isn't about to tumble down.

Recently there’s been several mudslides over the concrete block wall located at Route 9 and 240th St. SE. There was sufficient mudflow to go down the slope (in three places), to fill-in a gully and then go over the railroad tracks.

People living in the Wellington Hills area often joke about the block wall, calling it β€œThe Great Wall Of Woodinville” while also speculating on when will β€œThe Great Wall” collapse due to its bowing sides and the amount of fill dirt behind it?

How safe is β€œThe Great Wall of Woodinville?” I don’t know but I would like to hear professional assurance that it isn’t about to tumble down.

Snohomish County expects 90% of the traffic going to their proposed Wellington Hills Sports Complex to enter from Route 9 and 240th St. SE. (across from Costco).

We’ve been told traffic on 240th has increased ten-fold since Costco was built.Β  Pre-Costco, there were about 300 cars a day using 240th and after Costco was built, traffic increased to 3000 cars a day.

The increase in traffic for the sports complex hasn't been stated, but, this is a busy intersection, and I ask, β€œHow safe is it to drive by or be stuck in traffic next to the β€œThe Great Wall of Woodinville?”
