Woodinville resident Brad Bossio, a former business development director with years of management experience, is using his expertise to help local businesses gain customers through his new business, Welcomemat Services. Welcomemat recently launched in Woodinville, serving the Eastside and areas northeast of Lake Washington including Redmond, Kirkland, Juanita, Bothell, Kenmore, Mill Creek, Monroe, and Snohomish. The Woodinville franchise joins one existing office in Bellevue. Welcomemat Services hopes to open at least two more franchises in the greater Seattle metropolitan area by the end of the year.
Bossio comes to Welcomemat after seven years as a sales manager with Microsoft. He said heβs always wanted to open his own business, and was drawn to Welcomemat because it meshed with his professional background and his personal passions.

Within 30 to 90 days of moving into their new home, new families receive their Welcomemat package. Within the package are specialized offers designed to invite the new families to try businesses and services in their new community. The Welcomemat program connects local business and organizations with a group of consumers who need their help and have a high propensity to provide long-term loyalty. The Welcomemat package is just the first touch. After the new mover redeems the initial offer, Welcomemat sends a thank-you note to the new family on behalf of the business to help solidify a loyal relationship. Furthermore, a mobile rewards system is attached to the program to encourage repeat visitation and loyalty for years to come.
βNew movers present an incredible opportunity for businesses to attract new, loyal customers,β Bossio said. βWelcomemat helps small businesses approach this very valuable audience to welcome them to the community and get acclimated with their surroundings.β
In addition to Bossio, his wife, Jenny, serves as Welcomematβs head of operations. Bossio also hired Jonathan Patrick to assist with business development. Patrick, an Eagle Scout and lifelong Woodinville resident, has several years of business, marketing and sales experience.
And although Bossioβs just launched his business, he already has big plans for the future, and expects to acquire a neighboring territory near Seattle in the next 12-18 months.
Welcomemat Services began franchising in early 2011, and operates more than 20 franchised and company-owned locations across the country. The company expects to add 12 additional franchises in 2013 toward a goal of 70 locations open within the next five years in high-profile, transient markets across the country.
