Woodinville Happiness Initiative

Happiness ripples from the United Nations to Woodinville

I thought I would track via Woodinville Patch my adventure in implementing a project called the Woodinville Happiness Initiative.Β  Two years ago when I first learned about Gross National Happiness (GNH) as a way toΒ expand the consciousness and conversation around GDP I was thrilled!Β I invited John de Graaf, a Seattlite who produced the film Measure of Happiness to speak at our International Day of Peace event.Β  Since that time I've attended the 2012 Happy Conference in Seattle and joined the core group of practioners.Β

I see happiness as a focus for positive change that includes every aspect and every one inΒ our community.Β  Yes, I am a visionary as well as an activist.Β  Are there othersΒ here in Woodinville that share this vision and can join the action?Β

I've been attending chamber meetings to introduce the project to local business people and contacting associates and friends.Β  I've sent invitations to the city council.Β  I do hope a few people will show up at our film presentation on November 1 from 5:30 to 6:30 at Health Moves.Β  Andrew Max is hosting and I appreciate his enthusiastic support!
