For our Rent Mason Bees hosts, this is your annual opportunity to return your nesting blocks and celebrate the end of another mason bee season with us.
NEW THIS YEAR: MINI MASON BEE HARVEST!
This year, we're opening the event to ALL mason bee hosts! You do NOT need to be a Rent Mason Bees customer to participate. Whether you purchased your bees or nesting materials somewhere else, have been raising mason bees for years, are hosting for the first time, or are simply curious about mason bees, you are welcome!
CLEAN YOUR OWN MASON BEES? BRING YOUR NESTING MATERIAL!
Bring your filled nesting trays or nesting materials and we'll help you:
- Open your nesting material and see what happened inside this season
- Learn to identify healthy cocoons, mud, pests and predators
- Use our Mason Bee Sifter to separate cocoons from mud and debris
- See pests and predators up close under our microscopes
- Restack your nesting trays with extra bands we'll have available
You'll take your cocoons and nesting materials home with you and finish the cleaning process there. We're providing the tools, equipment and hands-on guidance to help you learn how to harvest and care for your own mason bees.
DON'T CLEAN YOUR OWN BEES? COME ANYWAY!
We'll be opening nesting blocks throughout the afternoon so you can see what's happening inside, learn about healthy bee development, check out pests and predators under the microscopes, ask us your mason bee questions, and have a chance to win some fun bee prizes & giveaways! Grab a beer, bring the family, and spend the afternoon with other mason bee hosts and bee lovers!
CAN'T MAKE THE EVENT? RETURN YOUR RENTAL BLOCKS ALL MONTH!
Rent Mason Bees hosts can drop off their rental nesting blocks at Watts Brewing throughout the entire month of September during regular business hours. Skip the return shipping, drop your block off at Watts Brewing, and we'll harvest and clean your bees for you this fall.
