Dr. Maze’s Farm Corn Maze is Open Friday

The annual event at the farm is ready to challenge young and old to navigate its twists and turns.

The 5.5 acre corn maze is open at Dr. Maze’s Farm in Redmond. This year the design is in the shape of a honeycomb, bees and sunflowers (see diagram). It’s been a tough year for bees, the cooler weather has not made it easy on the local pollinators and the farm owners said they wanted to salute the hard working bees.

This year there are maze’s within the maze, according to farm organizer, Carol Calhoon. There are six hidden mazes within the larger maze, including the Turning Sad to Happy Maze, Hop Dots, The No Left Turn Maze, The Honeycomb Maze and the Tunnels of Hops Maze.

In addition there will be rubber duck races, bubble blowing and a children’s craft table, among other activities, according to Calhoon. There are also pumpkins for sale as well as Dr. Maze botanicals products. Local honey is also for sale, but because of the cool weather Calhoon says it’s in limited supply.
