What people are saying about us...

"Your holiday concert was the best your group has given. The pieces were fun, the Messiah was solid, and the Bach was so beautiful and sweetly played. It was a top flight performance."  -- Dr. Frank Riedo

Jeffrey Taylor, tuba & composer – March 2014
Jeffrey Taylor currently plays tuba with the Eastside Symphony, the Highline Community Band, the Black Diamond Brass Quintet, and Brass Band Northwest. He has studied tuba with retired Seattle Symphony tubist, Michael Russell. As a composer, Jeff began writing music at age 16. In 2008 he completed the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program with Hummie Mann. He has also studied with Samuel Jones. Jeff has written compositions for brass ensemble, chamber pieces for woodwinds and for strings, several full symphonic works, and piano solos and pop songs. Jeff is a member of ASCAP and the Seattle Composers Alliance. Read more at his web site, www.artsnsounds.com

Of his tuba concerto, Jeff states: "As a tuba player and a member of a number of different ensembles, one of my goals was to write a piece for tuba and each of these ensembles. The Concerto for Tuba and Orchestra essentially completes that cycle."
