LET’S HELP PUGET SOUND ENERGY QUIT THE COAL HABIT

Puget Sound Energy supports many clean-energy programs. However, it is the largest owner of the biggest, most polluting coal fired power plant in the West.  PSE’s Colstrip coal plant is stoking the climate crisis by emitting the same amount of greenhouse gasses as three million cars every year.

There’s a better way:  Right now, PSE has a momentous opportunity to invest in clean energy and create good jobs in Washington State by moving beyond coal!  Replacing coal power with wind, solar and energy efficiency is good for business, good for our climate, good for our communities and good for Washington State.

Meet Ron Snell who will present a power point overview of Coal Free PSE. Ron is a volunteer for Sierra Club working on the Coal Free Campaign first working in opposition to exporting coal through Northwest port and now working on the Coal Free PSE campaign. Before retirement Ron managed software development projects for mostly Fortune 500 companies.
