Evidence Search Underway Along SR 522 Near Woodinville
There's an evidence search underway along SR 522 related to a weekend murder in Snohomish.

WOODINVILLE, WA - Local drivers may want to avoid SR 522 this afternoon due to an active police investigation.
The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office is searching a stretch of SR 522 between Echo Lake Road and the Snoqualmie River for evidence related to a murder that occurred in Snohomish over the weekend.
Police reportedly found a knife along the roadway on Wednesday afternoon.

Police arrested a 31-year-old Everett man on Sunday in connection to the killing of 78-year-old Barbara Decker, and the assault of her 62-year-old daughter, Janine Shaffer.
The suspect allegedly attacked the women with a carpet knife during an altercation. The suspect was at the home with his uncle working on a bathroom renovation.
