Is the Woodinville Burger at Teddy’s Bigger Burgers the First Food Named After Our Town?

Is there another food named after Woodinville or is this burger that first?

Woodinville Patch recently became aware of a new(ish) burger at , the Woodinville Burger. It is a staff-created burger topped with pepper jack cheese, bacon, Cajun spice and pineapple and is selling well after a few months on the restaurant’s menu, according to owner Wes Chase.

“We wanted a burger for our site, the same way they have the Waikiki and Kailua burgers in Hawaii,” Chase added. “We wanted people visiting in Hawaii to know our city too.”

Case and wife Diana were in Hawaii years ago, where a taxi driver directed them to one of the islands' four  locations. Today, the Redmond couple own the only Teddy's franchise in the continental United States, at 17705 140th Ave. N.E. in Woodinville. The Woodinville store opened in March 2009, the Woodinville Burger went on the menu about four months ago, according to Chase.
