What is the primary reason you are running for this office?
To continue to give back to the community and make this a better place for all of us to live, work, play and raise our families.
What will be your top three priorities if you get elected and why?
- Managing growth- I will continue to protect and maintain the integrity, character and zoning of our neighborhoods while focusing on the downtown plan to create a vibrant, pedestrian friendly, downtown community and enhancing the small town feel that makes Woodinville special.
- Traffic congestion- I have been supportive of improving our infrastructure for better citizen access to all areas of our city by car, bike and for pedestrians and I will work hard on this going forward.
- Quality of life-I will insist that we remain fiscally conservative and not raise our citizensβ property taxes. I value our green spaces and excellent schools and I will make sure that Woodinville remains a safe community. Also, it is important that we protect our environment, connect our neighborhoods and provide our children with safe places to play like the new Woodinville Sports Fields, which I strongly supported. Finally, I am actively encouraging economic development to provide jobs, services, restaurants and a healthy community while generating revenue that will keep your taxes low.
What sets you apart from the other candidates and/or previous office holders?
Experience; A track record of listening to our citizens andΒ building coalitions that focus on solutions, not personalities, to achieve positive results; Proven leadership abilities; Strong, creative and collaborative problem solving skills; Deep roots in the community and a long history of effective involvement (26 years);
How much money do you expect your campaign to spend on this election?
$2,500.00
