Scattered Outages In Woodinville After Windstorm

WOODINVILLE, WA - More than 600 people in the Woodinville area were still in the dark Tuesday morning, according to Puget Sound Energy. But that's a major improvement over Monday night when thousands lost power.

The power outages began around 3:30 p.m. Monday, according to Puget Sound Energy. A total of about 1,400 lost power near Cottage Lake and north of the downtown area, PSE reported. As of 6 p.m., an outage hit the downtown Woodinville, and there was a larger outage centered along Northeast 133rd Street near Redmond. About 1,400 were without power in that area.

Tuesday morning, the largest outage was north of downtown between Woodinville High School and 166th Avenue Northeast affecting about 400 customers. Close 200 were still without power in the Cottage Lake area.
