New French Bakery Opens Today in Redmond

Le Rendez-Vous, Redmond's new organic French bakery and café, is opening its doors today, according to an announcement on the shop's Facebook page.

Redmond Patch blogger (and fellow baker) Kimm Moore  about the new bakery back in July. Kaskou said Le Rendez-Vous' menu will include a variety of breakfast and lunch items, including French pastries, breads, croissants and sandwiches.

Kaskou, a native of Paris, is a baker with 16 years of experience. He said he chose to open his bakery in Redmond because of the community's diverse mix of people and cultures.

The 1,400-square-foot shop is located next to  in Bella Bottega. Le Rendez-Vous is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and is offering 10 percent off all purchases to celebrate its first day of business.
