PEPSapalooza Coming Back to Redhook Aug. 13

Tickets for the family concert are still available.

The 3rd Annual PEPSapalooza Family Music Fest is Aug. 12 at the Grassy Bowel at . The popular family concert will include , The Not-Its! and Recess Monkey. KMTT (The Mountain) DJ Marty Rieimer will emcee the main stage performances.

“It’s really a great family event,” said Denise Perkins, events coordinator for the Program for Early Parent Suopport (PEPS).

The event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drum band Drumline kicks off the event along with five-time world jump rope champion Rene Bibaud. There will also be a performance byTurk the Magic Genie.

Activities for the families include art and crafts table by A Nanny for You, face painting by Tangerine Tales, pony rides, and energy-burning trampoline jumping.

Outside of the bowl, kids can jump around in The Tumble Bus, a gym on wheels and climb aboard the Smith Brothers Farms Milk Truck and Rural/Metro Ambulance. Smith Brothers is sponsoring the concert this year.

Food and drink will be available for purchase, and families may bring their own picnic to enjoy on the grass. And new this year is a silent auction, where families can peruse and purchase family goods, trips and services, and enter the drawing to win a Springfree Trampoline.

Last year’sevent drew more than 400 families, according to Perkins. Tickets have sold out in the past and can be purchased through PEPS website. Admission is a donation of just $40 for the entire family, which includes two adults and their children, and additional single adult tickets just $10 with purchase of family admission.

The concert is a fund raising event for PEPS, a non-profit organization providing support groups and other resources to families in King and Snohomish counties that improve parenting skills and strengthen families.
