Artist's Reception

Shtetl Tales and Bible Stories

Vibrant Bothell resident Ronnie Dollinger returns for a solo show at TSUGA Fine Art & Framing (formerly Kaewyn Gallery) in the heart of downtown Bothell.

“Shtetl Tales” (shtetls were a small Jewish village in Eastern Europe):  acrylic paintings on canvas. Ronnie has an amazing ability to portray family and religious traditions, bustling marketplaces and town squares, along with tender human interactions in her shtetls as if they were part of her own personal experience and happened only yesterday. Although the scenes are born of the artist’s imagination, they have a compelling sense of truth.

“Bible Stories”:  gouache paintings on watercolor paper. Stories are portrayed from the old testament in a way only Ronnie can, with vivid colors and whimsical detail.
