So What's on the City Council Agenda This Week?

It’s time for the council to consider reappointment 0f to members to various city boards and commissions. Planning Commissioner Steven Yabroff and Jey Manickam and Olga Bonilla to the Tree Board are up for reappointment. The council meets Tuesday, June 7 at 7 p.m. at .

Payment needs to be approved for a contract for public works. On  August  4,  2010,  the  City  Council  awarded  a  public  works contract  to  CEMEX  Construction  Materials  Pacific,  LLC  in  the  amount  of  $558,541.74  for  the 2010 Pavement Overlay project, in the Wellington neighborhood including an additive alternate for 156th Avenue NE. The  work  was  substantially  completed  on  December  9,  2010  at  a  cost  of $606,191.80. Staff inspected the work and is satisfied that it is complete and in conformance with the contract requirements. No change orders were included in this project. The two-year approved Budget for Pavement Overlays for 2009 and 2010 was $1,300,000.  The total  expenditure for  both  years,  including  this  contract  was  $1,239,396.72,  which  is  $60,603.28 under budget.

The council will consider approval of a bid for maintenance services. The City’s current contract with Pacific Air Control, Inc. expired on December 31, 2010. In late April 2011 the City solicited bids from contractors listed on the E-Gov Small Works Roster to provide On-Call HVAC Services for maintenance and repairs to the HVAC systems at Woodinville City Hall, the Carol Edwards Center Buildings (CEC), and the Public Works Maintenance Facility. The City received four bids from qualified companies and Hermanson Company, LLC was selected as the lowest responsive bidder.

Routine maintenance of the HVAC systems for City Hall, the CEC and the Public Works Facility will cost $19,880 through December 2012.  This is less than the $25,000 budgeted for this work. The contract amount also includes $20,000 that is budgeted but set aside for unexpected repairs to the three HVAC systems.  Repairs will be done on a task order basis with staff approving both scope and fee before the work begins.
