Food has the ability to nourish us in many ways. As food
writer M.F.K. Fisher wrote, “Since we must eat to live, we might as well do so
with both grace and gusto.” Join registered dietitian and culinary enthusiast,
Carrie (Garrett) Huseman, for a fresh take on this class offered last fall.
She’ll discuss how to understand and embrace different types of hunger and
share how eating with intention is connected to an improved quality of life.
This time around, we’ll be getting our hands a little messy! Get ready for a
lively cooking activity as we re-shape our experience of making and eating
food. Come with your questions, thoughts, and experiences – we’ll have time for
open discussion too.
The class will be held on Wednesday, October 16, from 6:30-8
pm. The class is presented by Bear
Creek United
Methodist Church
(www.bcumc.org) for no charge but we would appreciate if you pre-register by
calling 425-788-2953 or email office@bcumc.org.
Childcare is available.
