The Wranglers Music Project "Holiday Extravaganza"

The Dec. 9 concert is the culmination of the Wranglers six month relationship with "The Music Project."

The Northshore Wranglers will offer the first annual “Holiday Extravaganza” on Friday, Dec. 9 at the Northshore Senior Center main stage (10201 E Riverside Drive, Bothell). Show starts at 7 p.m. The concert is free, donations will be accepted and all proceeds benefit the Northshore Wranglers Program. The holiday concert is spnsored by Senator Rosemary McAuliffe and the Kiwanis Club of Nortshore, as part of “The Music Project”.

Under the tutelage of Bernadette Bascom, “The Music Project” kindles a spark for self-esteem, pride and creativity. Students learn the value and rewards of sustained effort and hard work toward a specific performance goal and the achievement of success. Each student has the choice of song selection and the opportunity to enhance, highlight and share his or her individual talents through music.

Bernadette Bascom is the Creator of "The Music Project" and is well known in the Northshore Community. Her work with students at "Secondary Academy for Success", where the Music Project began, has become a prototype around the country for uplifting and self-esteem-building performances. Six Months ago she connected with the Wranglers and began to help them find their voices, according to Cole Caplan, director of the Wranglers. The holiday concert is the culmination of their efforts.
