Woodinville Man Missing Near Eagle Falls

The 24-year-old man jumped into the Skykomish River Monday evening but never resurfaced.

WOODINVILLE, WA - A 24-year-old Woodinville man is missing after he went swimming in the Skykomish River near Eagle Falls Monday evening.

Near 4 p.m., the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office was called to Eagle Falls, which is located a few miles east of Index off U.S. 2, for a report of a lost swimmer. The man jumped into the river and never resurfaced.

Sheriff's office divers searched the area until sunset Monday. The search was to resume Tuesday morning.

Although temperatures over the weekend reached the mid-70s, local rivers and lakes are still dangerously cold, according to authorities.
