World's Itchiest Bear Caught On Camera In Northern Washington
Watch this black bear scratch every possible itch. He was captured on a nightvision camera in the northeast part of the state.

OKANAGON, WA - A biologist with the Washington state Department of Natural Resources may have made a very important scientific discovery recently. It appears that biologist Scott Fitkin has discovered the world's itchiest black bear.
Fitkin received a clip from a motion-triggered camera set up in the northeast section of the state that shows a bear mercilessly scratching every itch with the help of a tree. At points, the bear appears to be treating the tree like a dance partner, shimmying up and down like he's at a nightclub.

It's not unusual for bears to use trees in such a way. Black bears will also bite and scratch trees to leave messages for other bears.
During bear mating season in the spring and early summer, black bears will rub against trees to leave their scent. It's possible this bear was doing that, but it's also possible this is just one very, very itchy bear.
