• Barboursville man embezzles $624K from nonprofit veterinary clinic, prosecutors say (wchstv.com) — A Barboursville resident has admitted to embezzling more than $624,000 from a nonprofit veterinary clinic he managed, and now faces up to 10 years in federal prison. Prosecutors say Jerod Timothy Vannatter diverted clinic funds into his personal account, created fake invoices, and lost the money to online gambling. He has been ordered to repay the full amount, with sentencing set for February 16.
