• The Charleston Ballet will bring Point Pleasant's Mothman legend to life in a world premiere (wvnews.com) — Charleston residents can catch a brand-new ballet, "The Legend of Mothman," premiering Oct. 23–24 at 7:30 p.m. at the West Virginia Culture Center Theater. The Charleston Ballet's production blends original choreography, music, and immersive projections to reimagine Point Pleasant's famous folklore, with advance tickets discounted for adults, students, and seniors.
   

• Crews battle trailer fire in Kanawha County (wowktv.com) — Fire crews from several volunteer departments are battling a trailer fire Thursday evening on Sunset Haven Drive in Kanawha County's West Side area, just outside Charleston. Authorities say the home was believed occupied, but there are currently no reports of entrapment or injuries as emergency medical personnel remain on scene and investigators work to learn more.
