• Landslide Triggers Emergency in West Virginia County (ntd.com) — A landslide in Mason County, less than an hour from Charleston, prompted a state of emergency after flood-driven erosion crept within two feet of a railroad line. Governor Patrick Morrisey's order follows earlier flooding and a recent city emergency in Charleston, with officials warning that more erosion could threaten infrastructure, schools, and travel across the region if not stabilized quickly.
