• Wood BOE weighs former Fairplains school demolition (newsandsentinel.com) — Wood County Schools officials in Parkersburg are weighing whether to demolish the vandalized former Fairplains Elementary and possibly build a new maintenance facility there instead. The board also reviewed millions in bond-funded work, including $2.6 million earmarked for Parkersburg High School stadium improvements, new security cameras, mental health services, and staffing changes aimed at boosting student achievement.
   

• John Marshall Lady Monarchs sweep Parkersburg Lady Big Reds (wtap.com) — Parkersburg volleyball fans saw the Lady Big Reds fall 2–0 at home to John Marshall after giving up an early 8–0 lead in the first set. Despite strong plays from Grace Inboden and Ily Bowman, John Marshall rallied behind key spikes from Paislee Babiczuk and a final tip from Sarah Naome to complete the sweep.
