2-Year-Old Dies After Being Run Over By Farm Machinery

WILTON, WI — A 2-year-old died during the weekend after being run over by farm machinery in rural Wisconsin, according to authorities.

The incident occurred about noon Sunday, when emergency personnel in Monroe County received a call about a toddler involved in a farm machinery accident on Lilac Avenue in Wilton, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. The caller said the child had been run over, according to the news release. The 2-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, the news release said.

The case is under investigation by the Monroe County sheriff's and medical examiner’s offices, according to the news release.
