Wisconsin officials issued a public health alert for raw mushroom and swiss Bratwursts produced by Starzer Meats in Pound, Wisconsin, because the product contains an undeclared allergen.
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection said the bratwursts contain soy, a known food allergen that was not listed on the product's label.
The product was sold frozen at Starzer Meats on or before May 22, 2026, according to DATCP.
The alert was issued to make sure consumers with a soy allergy know the product should not be eaten, officials said. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the bratwursts.
Consumers who have the product can throw it away, according to DATCP.
Anyone with signs or symptoms of a foodborne illness or allergic reaction should contact their doctor.
Consumers with questions about the alert can contact Jim Starzer of Starzer Meats at (920) 897-3108.
