Truck Crashes Into Kenosha Home, Driver Dies By Suicide

KENOSHA, WI — The Kenosha County Sheriff's Office says a driver died by suicide early Friday after crashing his truck into a home in the county.

Deputies responded to the crash at 2:38 a.m. on July 17 after a white 2018 Ford F-250 traveling north at a high rate of speed left the roadway on 395th Avenue and struck a residence on the north side of 104th Street, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The homeowner told deputies the driver got out of the truck after the crash and asked whether anyone inside the home had been injured.

The man then returned to his vehicle and suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, the Sheriff's Office said.

The driver, a 23-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries were reported to the occupants of the home.

The Kenosha County Medical Examiner's Office responded to the scene and will determine the official cause and manner of death, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The investigation remains active. The Sheriff's Office said no further information is being released at this time.
