KENOSHA, WI — A 33-year-old Seattle man has been arrested in Chicago in connection with the shooting deaths of his mother and stepfather, who were found dead inside their Kenosha home Monday, according to police.
He is also charged with murder in the killing of a former coworker at a Seattle gas station a week earlier.
Kenosha police officers went to the couple's home in the 5500 block of Washington Road at about 2:51 p.m. Monday to conduct a welfare check requested by a third party.
Inside, officers found the bodies of Rena O'Neal, 59, and her husband, Rodney Brushwood, 57. Both had been shot to death, investigators determined.
Detectives identified O'Neal's son, Michael A. O'Neal Fleming of Seattle, as a person of interest in the killings. After an extensive search, he was found and arrested in Chicago with help from the U.S. Marshals Service.
In Seattle, prosecutors have charged O'Neal Fleming with first-degree murder in the Oct. 13 shooting death of Graeme Dobbeck, 36, a former coworker, at a 76 gas station near the Space Needle, NBC K5 reported.
According to FOX 13 Seattle, O'Neal Fleming asked his brother for their parents' address, but the brother refused to give it to him.
The Kenosha County District Attorney's Office will begin extradition proceedings and pursue charges in Wisconsin.
