Bear Breaks Into Wisconsin Cabin Through Kitchen Window: Report
The bear came in through a kitchen window, helped itself to a late-night snack and made its way to the bathroom, before being removed.
CRIVITZ, WI — A cute and cuddly but unwelcome houseguest was recently removed from a cabin near Crivitz, according to WBAY.
A conservation warden for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources was captured on video, published by WBAY, using a catchpole to pull a reluctant bear through the cabin and release it into the wild.
The incident occurred before midnight Sunday, when the 120-pound animal came in through a kitchen window, helped itself to a late-night snack and made its way to the bathroom, according to WBAY. The occupants trapped the young bear in the bathroom and left its removal to Tim Werner, the warden seen in the video, WBAY reported.

Bear sightings tend to increase in the early summer, when juveniles are newly independent and males are seeking mates, according to the department. If a bear is near your home, wave your arms or make a noise from a safe location to scare the animal; only scare the bear if it has a clear escape route; back away from the animal slowly and seek safety; do not approach the bear; and do not try to break up a fight between a pet and a bear.
