Dad And 2 Young Kids Dead After WI House Fire
The father's girlfriend, who owned the home, was treated and released, police said.
BARRON, WI — Three people, including two young children, died in connection with a fire early Thursday in upstate Barron, according to the Barron County Sheriff's Department.
Emergency personnel received a 911 call about 3:30 a.m. regarding a house that was ablaze on River Avenue, police said. Firefighters pulled the two children, ages 5 and 6, from the home, according to police, who said the siblings were pronounced dead at a hospital, and who later identified the victims as Conner Albee and little sister Emily Albee. The Barron school district made extra counselors and resources available for students and staff, police said.
The children’s father, Donald Albee, 44, was found dead in the house, according to police. A 49-year-old woman who owned the home and was Donald Albee’s girlfriend was treated and released, police said.
