Gov. Evers Extends $100 COVID-19 Incentive Program For 2 Weeks
The program led to a number of Wisconsin residents getting their first shot, but the state's vaccination rates remain under 52 percent.

Evers announced Friday that residents who get the vaccine are eligible to receive the $100 through Sept. 19. The incentive was scheduled to end on Monday, but with the state’s 7-seven day rolling average of new cases at 8 percent, state officials announced the program will continue until later this month.

As of Friday, 7,652 people have died from the virus since the start of the pandemic last year. A total of 667,445 people in Wisconsin residents have tested positive in that time.
