Wisconsin Dells Death Nets Man Life In Prison
A 37-year-old Janesville man was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the shooting death of a woman in the city of Wisconsin Dells.

MADISON, WI — A 37-year-old Janesville man was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the shooting death of a woman in the city of Wisconsin Dells.
Jeremy Lee Mondy was convicted of first-degree intentional homicide, felon in possession of a firearm, and bail jumping.
"This sentence will keep the public safe from this defendant for a very long time," said Attorney General Kaul. "Thank you to the investigators and prosecution team for ensuring that justice was served in this case."

On Feb. 14, 2021, just after 11:30 a.m., Wisconsin Dells police officers were sent to check on the welfare of two people staying in a room at 1015 River Road.
At the room, officers were met by Mondy, who said he was okay. When asked about the woman, Mondy admitted she was dead.

Investigators later discovered that Mondy destroyed evidence after shooting her and attempted to flee to Chicago.
