• Ceremony in Appleton to commemorate 25th anniversary of 9/11 (fox11online.com) — Appleton residents are invited to a 9/11 remembrance ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the attacks at 5 p.m. on Sept. 11 at Don Hawkins Field outside American Legion Post 38 on W. College Ave. Organized by the Scarlet Guard Color Guard and Appleton American Legion Post 38, the event will feature speakers, music from the Appleton City Band, bell tolling, wreath laying, a rifle salute, and Taps.
   

• Fox Cities Chamber: Octoberfest Weekend kicks off Friday, Sept. 25, with License to Cruise, featuring more than 400 vehicles (wisbusiness.com) — Octoberfest Weekend is set to bring huge crowds and more than 400 classic and specialty vehicles to downtown Appleton Sept. 25–26, with License to Cruise kicking things off Friday night along College Avenue and at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center. Expect live music at Houdini Plaza, 14 food trucks, special Garage Beer offerings, and a designated driver program to keep celebrations safe.
   

• Fox Cities Chamber: Fox Cities Chamber launches Leadership Fox Cities 2.0: A deeper dive for program alumni (wisbusiness.com) — Appleton-area professionals who completed Leadership Fox Cities or similar programs can now apply for Leadership Fox Cities 2.0, a deeper, four-session leadership experience launching in 2026. The Fox Cities Chamber's new offering explores business, board service, government and emergency services, and human services, with limited spots and member discounts for those ready to expand their community impact.
