One driver was caught on camera as debris fell around their vehicle, underscoring how suddenly the storm intensified and how vulnerable local neighborhoods were to its path. • Appleton Marine Secures $23.8M Navy IDIQ for Naval Ship Slewing Arm Davits (envzone.com) — A major federal Navy contract is bringing nearly $24 million in work to Appleton Marine's facility in Appleton, with most of the fabrication and testing done locally through 2031. The deal covers new slewing arm davits for several classes of naval ships, meaning long-term, specialized manufacturing jobs and economic activity centered right in the city.
